Anna Devlin
====================================================================
   Of his (John Farrell) wife's family, the Devlin's, I have limited
information, following:

   - the pastor of St Stephen's RC Church in the Hazelwood Section
     of Pittsburgh, from eight years after its establishment in 1871
     until his death in 1935, was Father Daniel J. Devlin, nephew
     of Anna Devlin Farrell. He celebratated his golden and diamond
     jubilees there in 1923 and 1933, respectively;

   - Edward J. Farrell, sent me a copy of a 1912 letter written to
     John's daughter, Margaret by her cousin Ed Devlin. In that
     letter, mention is made of the Devlin's home town of Dungannon,
     Census records previously consulted, had shown only that the
     Devlins were from County Tyrone, Ireland.

   - Edward Farrell added that two female Devlin cousins were lost
     in the Johnstown Flood (1889) and that several Devlins were
     attorneys. Around 1900. they were located in California and
     Wyoming, probably Cheyenne. The Californian may have been Ed
     Devlin's brother, Robert, referred to in his letter.
